Workplace Coaching Skills Training

Develop your Staff through Coaching Conversations

Many of us default to giving advice, solving problems or directing others. While that can be useful in the short term, over time it can limit the ownership, confidence and independent thinking of those around us.

This practical one-day workshop is designed for professionals at any level whose role involves supporting, guiding or developing others. This may include peer coaching, mentoring, onboarding and supervision, as well as leading people or projects in either a formal or informal capacity. Participants will learn how to shift from telling to asking and use effective coaching conversations in the workplace to support performance, professional development, accountability and confidence.

This course will help your staff members develop workplace coaching skills in a practical and interactive training environment.

2. Core coaching skills

The workshop focuses on the practical skills that sit at the heart of good coaching conversations, including:

  • Active listening

  • Building trust and rapport

  • Staying curious rather than jumping straight to advice

  • Helping people think through their own options and actions
